multiple dog homes and wild play

My two dogs are insane. They play and play and play. They run all over the house, jumping around over and under furniture. They growl and flip each other over and chase. It is one or the other who starts it. They don't finish until they are panting like mad. We have several levels to our house and sometimes they run down both sets of stairs and outside and then back in again. They are hilarious...and they do this when they aren't even wet.

What happens when you have three? Or four? Or more? I'd love to hear stories about a whole house of havanese going crazy with play.

My dogs are both four, one closer to five. They still seem to be as nutty as they were when they were puppies. The only difference is Riki can actually stay put for a while!

Linda, you described exactly what happens in my house everyday! Only difference being mine are 16 months and 9 months

Well, we're a new 3 dog family. And it's only been slightly more crazy then it was before. But, only at times. It's actually been a bit better, because the pup is taking the heat off of Daisy. She LOVES to play fetch. He..does not. But, he can't take her having any fun. She chases after the ball, and he takes her out at the knees. Then steals the ball, and keeps it under his paw. Doesn't want to bring it to me. Just doesn't want her to have it.
And for whatever reason, she's a weenie and won't take it back. (even though we yell, kick his butt Daisy )
Now, she can play ball with us for an hour straight and the pup and him fight over a toy, or have their time of RLH through the house or yard. It's really been a nice balance and everyone seems happy

Well I've got an old Pom so he's not much for play - the Maltese is the biggest sissy boy sometimes, so often it's like I only have one dog. Just depends on their personalities many times.

Lisa- that is just like Belle- yesterday we were playing fetch and she ran into the wall and ran under the couch! She is such a sissy with having her feeling hurt too!

Well I am thinking we will be a two dog family and a tiny person with a white coat

Hi Linda..My daughter lives in Redondo Beach too!! My two Hav boys sound just like your two sweetie pies...crazy play several times a day!! They love to rough house, but they are easily controlled when they get toooo crazy!! They are almost two and they act like puppies when they are playing with each other. I got them at the same time (same litter) which was the challenge of the century, but I am so glad I did it..they love each other most of the time and they have each other always!!! Your picture reminds me of my daughter with her two Jack Russells on the beach..talk about hyperpups..I cannot keep up with their energy..but my daughter is young enough to do it!! Trish

Linda, I have three and it is a circus here!! Although it seems that when they go into the crazy frenzy play, it is usually two of them, and the other watches. They take turns, it is never the same two playing. My guys are
4 1/2, 3 1/2, adn 1 1/2. They crack me up every day!! When all three get involved in the play, it is even funnier!!! Now that I am fostering a little Bolonka, it is amusing to her to watch, as it appears that she never played like this in her home., so it makes her a little nervous but she cant stop watching!! I guess these play times are one of the things we love about Havs.

Mine do their crazy RLH and play-fight all day. But they have very specific times of the day where it is even crazier - after a meal, 5pm and then around 8pm.
It is funny to watch Kodi run around the dining room table and Shelby will just lay in wait in one spot. As he comes around to her side, she will pounce. Then Kodi runs in the other direction and it starts all over again. They love to play tug with an old towel and they will growl and shake that towel like mad dogs.

I think there's hardly ANYTHING funnier than Havs running wild!

OMG! I LOVE IT!
