How rude!!!!

Today I went to a purse party at my cousin's Day spa. I had Betzie with me and I set her down on the ground. She was fine and then I thought I heard her out of the bag and this woman was taking her out I went over there and she said oh I wont let nothing happen to her...Um lady I do not know you and oh I was sooo mad. I put her back in her bag. It was a lady selling knock off Coach,Prada,Kate Spade and other purses. I was like this puppy coast more than all these purses put together. Anyways I thought I would see what you guys would have done in that situation!!!

i would have reacted the same way as you-- i will occasionally bring billy into the store where i work and there is one girl who always tries to pick him up without asking-- leave him alone-- he is content walking around!

on a side note...did you get any bags??

I did buy a coach doggie key ring for my keys.....I would rather save my money for the real ones but that is just me. They liked my green one I had and they asked me where I got it and told them the coach store..she was like oh..kiinda snotty!!

She should have asked you if she could pick her up. It was rude. There are some children a few blocks away and when I walk the dogs past their house, they always ask if they can pet them first. You would think an adult would know better.

You were a lot nicer then I would have been if some one who sells knock offs if taking MY dog out of his bag or whatever. Nope, my dog is like my second, very furry (and doesn't talk back) son. You mess with MY kids. I will not tolerate it. She was rude in taking out your baby. She could have stolen her under another circumstance. People are just so clueless when it comes to tact. I bet she wouldn't go up to a cart in a store and life a child out of it. Or maybe she would....

I would also be upset. I have a lot of good friends who would always feed the girls and they had big dogs so they thought I was joking when I would tell them to knock it off. Then at the training club Dora showed them what happens when you give little dogs too much food. Ever since then they were polite and asked! Some times you just have to be stern.

My thoughts would immediately go to what happens when she quits paying attention to the puppy and someone opens the door- Always think of protecting your baby!

I don't know what the answer would be,but I'll tell you something embarrasing I did once. At least maybe you won't make the same mistake I did. I was invited to a friend's house along with Quincy. Reluctantly I brought him,as they have shih-tzu's already and I wasn't sure how he would react. Quincy was probably 8 mo. or so old. She has a daughter Lacy's age,so Lacy was with me. I had Quince groomed to the 9's and they wanted to pick him up and cuddle and squeeze on him. I didn't care, till the daughter said I want to brush him....he needs brushed. I nicely said,no he doesn't----I just groomed him(but their dogs certainly did)......then she said, but I just want to brush him. I again said no. She whipped out a slicker and started brushing him on his back. I almost lost it...I said loudly as I jumped up off the chair,no-no!!! I don't use a brush like that on him. I told her you will ruin his hair! I only use a greyhound comb. Of course now the mom,my friend---is looking at me like I'm a total bitch and that her combs aren't good enough for my dog! When she kinda said just as much,I as nice as I could.....kinda agreed as I DIDN'T want her or her daughter to brush my dog with a slicker brush. I don't really know what I would of did differently---but this was "not good"

Yes-she is still my friend but Quincy hasn't been invited back.

well here is what I tell kids

If kids come over to the house and they disrespect the dogs, I tell them the dogs are going to another room where they are safe. I give them a warning, and then the dog goes in another room. They aren't invited back if they act up the second time.

With people at my house, it is the same way. I don't put the dogs away when people come over. If you don't like my dogs, it probably isn't the home for you to visit.

I learned my lesson with other people's dogs when I was a teen. We had german shephards who were love buckets. My dad had a new girlfriend with a GS. I put my face in hers as I would my own dog for a kiss and got bit on the nose. Always ask we tell kids, that goes for adults too!
