Gorgeous Dog in Foster Care: Ricky Riccardo

There is a new dog available in foster care that is absolutely gorgeous. His name is Ricky Riccardo, he is a year and a half and has the most gorgeous coat. Tell your friends who are looking for a havanese. Have them send in an application.

www.havaneserescue.com, click on foster dogs.

Oh the temptation for me is huge. My husband tells me every time I go to a show or an event, remember two is more than enough. One child, two dogs, one senior cat, one millipede, on hamster, and many fish. And the other animals we have in our home temporarily...like bugs!

Check out Ricky Riccardo, you could be his furever home.

Ricky Ricardo
Here's Ricky Ricardo and a little update on our Cuban Lover.
He's recovering from his surgery (neuter) which I'm not sure he realized he even had. He's pretty much settled in and is quite a lover.

He has some puppy tendencies, leading me to believe he may be about 18 months old. He takes a shoe (he's not chewing however) and races through the house, and does other puppy things mine did about that age.
He still is somewhat worried he might be left so is fairly clingy and wants company when he goes outside. He's becoming more reliable with his housebreaking.

He's playing well with other dogs and this guy will adapt to pretty much anything or anyone. I have no doubt he'd be good with kids; he simply loves whoever walks through the door. A retired family would eat him up (and he'd be in heaven) or anyone that would be home a lot or most of the time. He is insecure, but I don't see that as a negative. He just wants a lot of attention.

Aw, he is so cute! Do you need to live close to the rescue to adopt?

adoption

No you don't. We have resources to get dogs close to their furever homes.

havanese rescue adoption application

It is always good to get your application in to be approved, so that when a dog comes in that you love, you can be ready and first on the list!

We always need foster homes too. I have a feeling though if Ricky were my foster, I'd fail fostering and become his family.

While you are on Havanese Rescue Inc web-site looking at the beautiful Havanese that are just waiting for their "FUREVER" home you will see the adoption application information. And NO you do not have to live near the dog-
