Whoo Whoo! It's very important that your "date" loves animals .....my suggestion would be not to fall for a guy who doesn't like house dogs....ditch 'em in a hurry no matter how attracted you are to him!! My DH has tolerated my animals for 29 years, but it's always been a bone of contention and would have been a lot easier if he'd loved them too. (he does fall in love with them, but would never admit it and if he's mad for whatever reason, my dogs become an "issue"!!)

Of course, that being said, I will admit he has put up with a lot since he didn't want any animals and he's "let" me have them!! If you asked him why, he'd say "what choice did I have!! LOL

That's so funny Judy! My husband acts like he doesn't like them either, but it's only at certain times.......and I've caught him many times sneaking them treats, petting them and talking with them etc. We have always had 1 housedog since we were married, but he wasn't crazy about having two.......but he wasn't against a third(Puppy)--in fact,he thought I could've helped that pup as well. So maybe I've worn him out,he's let his guard down or he's never been against them at all!!!

Awwwwwwww....Judy, I love the picture of your DH with your furbabies!

I was married for 30 years to a man who loved animals, but we always had cats... He said he liked dogs but never wanted one. I agreed that, because we traveled for a living, a dog wasn't a good idea. BUT... I always knoew I would have one when I retired. We are still friends despite parting...and when he heard I was getting Riley, his comment was: "Who's idea was that???"

Ummmm....MINE?

My friend in the picture just fell in love with my little guy!

Lucky for you, Julie! That's great! I still have to be careful not to be gone too long leaving DH to "babysit" as he calls it! I think he just likes me to feel guilty for letting three dogs invade his space!

I think that is a great test. Don't let him take Bailey for a walk though because as much as they are guy magnet, they are very much chick magnets (trust me when DH takes a pup to campus with him!)
