Cheerios is a favored treat for the Liver dogs--thus OK for all dogs. The Honey nut version might be a little high in sugar--perhaps you can mix them and then wean him off of the sugar.

Um, no..a few shouldn't hurt. But, I'd probably try the plain cheerios to keep the sugar down.

I personally LOVE Cheerios! In fact, I had a bowl last night for dinner with a few sliced banana pieces in it. Yummmmm!!

Gucci prefers my Kashi Pumpkin/Flax protein bars, she'll beg for a bite of those. Or Golden Grahams. lol

Norah LOVES them. Whatever you do make sure they don't get ahold of the frosted ones. A friend was eating them once and gave one to Norah and she went BONKERS. We have officially stuck to the plain ones now.

Cicero LOVES the honeynut also, but I try to stick with the plain ones. We all love to snack on Cheerios!! I think they are wonderful tiny treats for our pets. In fact, my pockets, candy dishes, and pocketbook, stay full of these "doughnuts". Just remember to empty all your pockets before washing your clothes.....that is messy

Sissy loves Cheerios! Sometimes on Sunday nights DH and I will eat cereal. We love it and when Sissy see us getting the box out of the pantry she starts jumping because she want some, too!! I was giving her the Honey Nut Cheerios and started wondering the same thing if it was good for her and then bought the plain Cheerios. She loves Rice Krispies, too!

if i used them as his only treat then he would be getting about 15 of them a day but i think i would mix them in with his other regular treats.

i use treats for when he pees and poops outside, after he does his business he comes running over to me.

Love those Cheerios

I often carry them around in my pocket when we go for walks.
If we meet some kids, I have the dog sit and let the child give the dog a Cheerio. Sometimes, friendly adults too.
It's good for Socialization and a few Cheerios won't pack on the calories.
A trainer first suggested treating with Cheerios.

And like Kara, I love them with a banana and milk.
