MVD and shunts

Lynn gave me permission to post this to the board. I did take her phone number out since it's a public board but if you need it you can pm me.

Hi guys
I just got off the phone with Dr. Sharon Center. She is heading the research in liver shunts that was just approved by the HCA Board.
She is looking for family groups of dogs that would be related to a dog that has a liver shunt. If you have a dog with a shunt would you please contact me. Ideally what she would need is that dog, any siblings (hopefully 3-4), both parents and any grandparents if possible.
Sharon is MORE than willing to speak with anyone in reference to this project or their dogs. She is a very sweet caring woman who really wants to help us find the answer to liver issues.
ALL information submitted is kept confidential.
Thanks
Lynn Nieto [email protected]

I also posted this on another thread

Well, now we have both posted this! Hopefully, we will get some attention. I posted on the health thread.

Sounds like a great study.

Is she interested with dogs with MVD, as well, or just dogs with operable shunts?

I'm not sure

Why don't you contact her for more information, she would be more than happy to hear from you.
