What size crate

What size crate does should I buy for Jake & Jazz? I bought one 30" crate but it looks too big. I am also thinking of getting the exercise pens. What size? Oh my...I am like a nevous anxious new Mom. I want to do everything right for my new babies.

Thanks !!

I always got the med sized crate from Walmart when I got a new puppy (but I never go two puppies at once!). Are you going to crate them together or seperate?
Also, I would think a 24 inch x-pen should be fine unless they are climbers or jumpers!

Personally I'd go for a 24" crate but you may be able to buy a divider for the 30" and just make it smaller so they don't pee or poo on one side and sleep on the other. Two can fit in a 24" one for quite a while.

I am going to crate them separately. It's fun buying two of everything !! My hubby says I spent more on puppy accessories than I did on the puppies !!

You may want to buy two plastic traveling crates to start. They can sleep in them, you can use them in the car to drive them around safely, take them to the vet, etc. You can get them small enough they they can stand up and move around, but won't mess in them. I used the 2nd smallest size, not sure the " measurement. Then they can move to a wire crate when they are bit older and they should be just big enough for them to stretch out in. You could separate a wire crate or get two smaller ones for versatility. For Havs, stretched out is about 2x their length with those frog legs and tail behind them! Depends on how big your guys will become.
