Moping around...

Benji gets depressed when he realizes that I am going to go out. He knows my everyday routine and stares at me with sad eyes as I start getting ready in the morning and tries to make me feel guilty for leaving them both home alone. Lizzie too has started imitating him now and this is how they lie around moping.

Best, Poornima

LOL! How sweet, in a sad way

I wish Gucci would mope like that. She follows me and stares me down and whimpers....and then she'll try to bully through the door and run to the car and jump in!

She even tries to jump up to my arms. She really makes it known that she wants to "GO for a car-ride" as we say. lol

Honestly, I'd prefer a lazy, lounging' moping. lol

Awww.... that is so cute, in a sad kinda way!! I've noticed Roxie (5 months) has started to figure out when I'm leaving too. She follows me around all the time, but when I have my keys in hand she'll stop at the laundry room door and wait to see if I say "Let's go" or not. They are smart little creatures, aren't they!!

Awww, they make it so hard to leave somtimes. Monte will lie around and mope when he knows I am getting ready to leave. I hope this doesnt rub off on Riley, I sweat that boy likes to push me out the door so he can get a cookie.

Awww my three do the same thing. Lexi and Logan will curl up in their beds, and put ther chins on the edge and "look" with those eyes - and Lily lays on the floor and does the same think your guys do!! It is so pathetic. I always feel like I have to say Mommy Loves you as I leave!
But like mine - I bet they dont look like that when you come home!!

Too cute... Benji and Lizzie look SO sad. Just makes you want to give them big hugs! Kubrick is also a moper, though once the Bailey's jerky comes out, he couldn't care less that I'm leaving.

That's pretty funny because that's what mine do too. They know the routine, so on workdays, I get the sad eye treatment. When I tell Doc "crate", he goes in, lays down in his bed and looks up at me with the most pathetic face......poor guy! Izzy doesn't usually let us pick her up, but when I'm leaving, she does. She gets a hug good bye, then I get the "why are you leaving me" look from her too! I think she thinks that since she let me pick her up, she should get to go with me!!

Aaawww, poor Benji and Lizzie! They sure do tug at the heartstrings don't they?

Tessa is not a moper either. But she sees subtle signs I am leaving and goes to the door giving little excited whines, wiggling all over with tail wagging. Then when I have to tell her she has to stay and her tail droops and she looks so sad And when I get back she is in the same spot lying on the rug by the door.

Like Gucci she will sometimes run through the door as soon as I open it and runs to the car door with tail wagging. She loves to go with me on errands. It's so sad when I have to take her back in and leave her.

Tucker is still in the ex-pen so I don't know how he will react yet

Aww, poor babies. They do look so sad. I'm amazed when I leave Bailey now stands at the top of the stairs with the big guys and looks at me as I say "I love you. I'll be back soon." No whimpering, no barking. I guess as long as he's one of the pack it's okay.

Oh, what heartbreakers! But, just remind yourself that is why you got TWO havs. I'm sure they are fine once you leave the house.
