Betzie update

Well yesterday I took Betzie to get her rabies shot and microchiped. She did really well way better than me. I have to turn around and not watch. They weighed her and she weighs 5.8 lbs. Monday she was five months old. They checked her stools for parasites and they said that she has cocidia. They gave her some meds for it. They said that when they checked her stool in april it was fine. I was worried at first but said it is normal that her body just has to adjust to it. Kinda of hard to explain. She is doing very well though he said. I was soo proud of her because she was loving on him after two shots. She is a people person let me tell ya.

If Betzie has cocidia, then your other dogs will most likely have it to, no? You should get em checked! Hope she is betetr soon!

Megan, sorry about the cocidia but the meds should clear it up. Good catch by your vet as I understand that can be hard to diagnose. Betzie is looking so cute.

I just talked to my vet office and they said that all dogs have it that her levels were just a little bit high. I do not need to check my other doggies. The medicine will clear it up in four to five days. Thanks for letting me know about my other ones. I will have them check her stools next to make sure it is gone next week for our playdate next weekend. I am soo upset

Megan, she is adorable! Don't worry about the cocidia. All of mine have had it when they first came home form the breeders and Norah actually got it again a little after that. It clears right up though with meds.
