Found a Lost Havanese NEED HELP

This little guy is lost and we are looking for help to find his owners.

He was found in Worcester, MA on Tuesday night with no tage. Thankfully he is being fed and taken care of by a family that found him and would love to return him to his correct owners.

Leeann, I so wish I could say I was the owner. He is a cute thing. Have the people contacted the vets in the area? Did they check to see if he was microchipped? I'm sure they have...just thinking. Maybe hang a picture of him with a phone number at the supermarkets in the area in the hopes that someone will know him. I hope he finds his family soon, but I'm glad the people that found him are wanting to help him do just that!

Leeann---
I think you should contact HRI. They have an alert and I think it gets posted on hav sites etc.

He is a cute guy that needs his family back.

Thanks Julie, HRI has been contacted that's how the info got to me. I have also offered to foster him if needed.

Dale everyone has been notified, police, vets, shelters, different rescues and an add in the paper. They are checking for a microchip now. thanks for the ideas.

Oh----well silly me!

I just thought one of your neighbors or an acquaintance found him or something.I hope he finds his owners. You'd think someone would be frantic looking for him!

You can post "found pet" notices on Craig's List as well. Worth a try!

LOL Julie, I also have a tendancy to forget that not everyone lives in MA and is going to realize that Worcester is about 1 hr drive away from me. I should have stated that the info came to me from HRI and they were hoping maybe I would recognize him from a play date.

I agree i would be frantic looking for one of my boys if they got out also. I was amazed a couple of weeks ago when a lost Golden wondered into my yard with no tags and no one was out looking for him. I grabbed one of my leashes and got dragged around the neighborhood by this dog that has obviouly never been on a leash for a half an hour before some kids told me where he lived. The owners were just sitting at home and figured he would find his way home sooner or later and took him from me like it was no big deal. Mind you I live in a city right off of a very busy street, they are lucky he didnt get hit by a car!

I did some internet searches to see what I could find but only found that it looks like found dogs is pretty big business up there.

oh yah Leeann, he is mine!!! I forgot to mention we got a third and were visiting friends in worcester when he broke free...(bad missy) This is really to serious to be joking about but I couldn't resist because he is sooo cute. I have forwarded this to my friend who does know some people in the Worcester area with a Hav. I hope he was not abandoned because of the economy. Parts of worcester are pretty depressed. Leeann, has HRI contacted the local breeders? (RI, NH, Mt Washington) they may recognize their dogs.
