Doggy Booster Seat and Bark Park

A few weeks ago, there was a discussion about car seats. I ordered this one and finally installed it in my car today. Stella loved it!! She was able to see out the window yet was safely contained On the way home, she even laid down and went to sleep in it

I also stopped at our local dog park for the first time on our way home. She ran like the wind and loved every minute of it. My daughter and SIL stopped with the three boys so they could chase her too. All four of them were exhausted when we left Stella was filthy when we got home so I had to bathe her. I think I'll start taking her there on Wednesday nights seeing as how she goes to the groomer on Thursday mornings.

I really like the look of that seat but have a question...is there a harness on the inside that's attached to the seat? Right now I have a harness that hooks into the seatbelt latch and I just put a fleece doggie bed on the seat. It worries me though, if we were in a crash I don't know how much protection it would be.

No harness inside but there's an adjustable strap with a clip on it for you to clip to your dog's collar or harness.

ETA: I ordered it from Petsmart in case anyone wants to know.

Kathy, I have a car seat real similiar to that and Sissy doesn't want to sit in it.
To be honest, I haven't worked with her like I should. When DH takes her somewhere she will lay in the seat beside him and be so good. But when I am driving she wants in my lap....I know it's bad. I think I am going to try the lookout car seat.

So glad Stella loved the car seat - they are really safer in them.

Hi Marie!
Stella always sat in the front passenger seat for me and knew she had to stay there. When she's with my daughter, she knows she can run all over the car. It's amazing how quickly they learn who they have to behave for and who'll let them get away with something. Good luck with the lookout car seat!

Be careful what you ask for Lisa! My daughter actually took pictures of Stella in the seat and me in the drivers seat I'll ask for her memory card and post a picture for you

Love your car seat!! Here's Riley's. He obviously loves it and yes, he is attached to the seatbeat ...and so is the booster seat. There's also a hidden tray that slides out the front for storage!

Ooh, Jean, that one is cool. I really like that it's attached with the seat belt. Stella's isn't. Where did you get that one?

Kathy,

the car seat that Jean Marie has is a Snoozer Lookout booster seat and you can order it online. The best price is at petco.com. They have both Lookout I and Lookout II (with and without storage tray. I have the one with storage tray and it's great). They are available in several sizes as well. Here's the link.
