Little girl needs rescue in Youngstown, OH

http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/dis...petid=11261204

This is just the sweetest little girl, picked up as a stray by the Mahoning Co. Dog Pound which is a kill facility. She is called a "Maltese Mix" but doesn't she look like a Havanese? Is there anyone in eastern Ohio who can rescue her? DH says it's too far for us to drive or I would get her in a minute.

I fowarded this to my sister in Pittsburgh, which is not too far from Youngstown... maybe she'll know someone who needs an adorable little girl.

Oh my goodness!!!! She reminds me some of my Bodie. I'd take her in a heartbeat. Phew, good thing I'm too far away. She'll be swooped up soon, though. I just know it!

Sue - why not send the petfinder address to HRI and let them take a look at her. If they think she has any havanese they can take her into their rescue program. She is so precious! What a beautiful but terrified face.
I would be there scooping her up myself if I were closer.

That poor baby is in danger of being euthanized??? Good grief! Someone has to rescue her.

I have to say that I HATE how they use the word euthanasia over and over again in the write up of her. That is so horrible to even think about that with that sweet little thing!!

Oh, please do keep us up to date on this little doll! The mere thought of her being euthanized is unbearable!

Agreed! There are times when euthanasia is the right solution (i.e. severe and painful illness), and this is not one of them!

I want to say right off that this story has a happy ending. When I mentioned her to DH last night, he said, "Oh, Youngstown is just too far!" But this morning he asked me to show him her picture. The old softie! He called about her and was told she has already been adopted. I trust she will have a happy forever home. I also had sent e-mails to Halo and HRI and both e-mailed me back right away saying they would follow up. I am so happy we have such great organizations to help our little furry friends!
