Question Ponytails?

Hey ya'll....Kona's hair has finally grown back around his face, and I was thinking about doing a ponytail on top of his head. Hubby runs in and announces that he's a BOY and snatches him up.. LOL Do you all do a pony for a boy? Is it totally wrong?? hahahah. I was going to use a BLUE pony!!!

Hey as long as there isn't a big frilly bow I see nothing wrong with a top knot. It keeps the hair out of their eyes.

Many people here with boys pull their hair up in top knots. I was thinking of doing it with Milo and may still. His hair is at that in between stage now, too long and in his face but not long enough for that top knot. Try one when your husband is at work.

I use ponytails on my little boy. DH and I both like to see his eyes. He is just at the awkward stage where the hair doesnt stay back at all naturally. I think DH is so use to the maltese that he even will put hers up in a top knot cause she will sit and itch her face. Dora on the otherhand doesnt like her hair up. She will tug to get it down and doesnt get used to it!

Hey there, Brooke. Yup, for some reasons the human males seem quite offended at the canine males wearing a topknot! I did that with Ricky for quite some time because I LOVED seeing his eyes. Being an all black Hav didn't help me find those gorgeous eyes behind his scruffy bangs. I would choose an elastic that was very dark so it wasn't so obvious.

It is not at all "totally wrong". Many smaller, long-haired dogs wear a top knot, male or not. Try and match his hair color and it might just be a little more discreet. Good luck! lol

LOL~ Thanks... that's what I was thinking just now. I was going to do BLUE.. but up against his white hair I could use the clear ones and you wouldn't be able to see it. Maybe when hubby heads to work tonight, I'll sneak one in there and wait for his reaction upon returning tomorrow morning...
