Marking their Territory

Crockett (male) has started peeing on anything that belongs to my husband. His clothes if left on the floor, his pillow, and him while he was sleeping. My husband loves him and is really good with him. Why has this started recently. Crockett is 2 years old and our female isn't in heat right now.

Is Crockett in tact? I have been told in tact dogs are more likely to mark their territory. I have a pup now and he still does the super man squat and no marking and I am going to make sure it doesnt start either

sounds like a belly band is needed...

Wow that isn't good. A belly band will solve your problem temporarily.

My male cats used to pee in our guests suitcases, and they were altered.

I didn't just get havanese, I got a lifestyle!

I don't think he should be allowed in the bedroom...

Any time they pee in a certain room, they aren't allowed in there. That is our house rule.

You need to nip it because it can become a huge problem. There are a lot of serial markers out there. Keep him with you if he doesn't have a bellyband on so that you can catch him and correct. It's funny that he would pick on your husband. Maybe he looks at him like he is his competition.
