Give them a few months <BG> In LA there are so many designer breeds and I don't think I ever met a pretty adult!

Could it be Shi Tzu?

There are so many designer breed owners in my sub. Lots of poodle crosses. Not impressed so far.

I do love seeing the Havs being walked by my house. You can call them a mile away and people are always surprised when I can ask "Havanese". LOL!

That would be my guess too - a Shih Tzu or maybe even a short-haired Yorkie if they are purebred. It's difficult to tell from that one photo, but they don't really look like short-hairs to me.

They are kinda cute--but the saddest part is several years ago you would of found an ad saying "Free to Good Home" and that's what it should be today....with an "OOPS" in front.

I agree, Julie. If not an ad, we used to find boxes of "oops" puppies left at the shelter. Some very shrewd person got the idea of how to make $$$$ from these poor pups by naming the "designer".

I agree they would have been left at the local shelter nobody would purposely cross two breeds and let anyone know about it much less charge for it.

Yes, these are Shih tzu and Yorki mixes. Designer breeds are what we called "mutts" when I was a little girl. These back yard breeders have no idea what they are doing. I found out this morning that my neighbor who has 3 yes 3 malti-poos let one of them have puppies I do not know her well enough but would have like to have ask her WHY? Puppies are cute but do you have homes for them why bring unplanned (I am assuming here) puppies into the world. Getting off my soap box now.

You know Katrina that soap box is going to get pretty crowded when people read about your neighbor. It is the utmost in irresponsibility.

Ah what a shame. Shih Tzus are cute little dogs and so are Yorkies. Pups are cute too, but most of the "designer breeds are just plain ugly once they mature. The pounds are full of them. I was surprised yesterday when searching through different Animal Controls to find info on what constites a 'kennel", I ran into a yearly report for one A.C. dept. They noted in the report 1300 plus strays gathered and an even LARGER amount of 'owner turn ins'. How sad it is that so many people dump their dog at the pound.
