just got in a few minutes ago. the vet held him longer as he was taking his sweet time waking up from the anesthesia. as it is he is sleeping and moves only a bit to change his position. they put a cone on him and said to leave it on for a week. i didn't protest cause the assistant scares me and i will take it off soon.
jean, the onesies were a new thing for me - i read about them here, maybe do a search for that thread. they block direct access to the stitches and you just unsnap them for potty time. mugsy has not been going very much in his pen and has been waiting for me to come home after work or to get up in the morning before doing his thing so i think we should be ok.
and yes, little kaylie will be here in one week. the time is going quickly though, it was a 4 week wait at first and now we are down to 7 days.
i'm so looking forward to having the 2 of them together. mags is such a sweet boy i think he would get along with just about anyone (as long as they are not ringing the front door bell) and i hope that kaylie will also be a sweet heart. i do think she might be more of a handful than mugsy was a first having spent her 6 years as a breeder. i think she spent some time in the house but who knows really how much?
i look forward to it all though!!!!
and i want to thank you all for 'being there' for me. when i really involve myself in things, like dogs and cameras, my non cyber friends seem to have a limited amount of patience for yet another dog story or what have you.
greetings from mugsy & me
