Ever see Finding Nemo?

You know the little pelicans that go after everything
"mine, mine, mine...mine".

I've decided..that's my Cooper.
He can not stand for anyone else to have anything. I've mentioned 100 times he doesn't like to fetch. But, if the other dogs are playing, he'll grab hold of the toy/ball and either keep a paw on it. Or growl at them when they get near

We've been trying different chew treats with them. I usually don't give any, but I want them to have some things. I give each one a chewy and he takes his, then drops it and grabs one of theirs. Then his, then theirs. Poor guy is frantic trying to get them ALL in his mouth, or away from the other dogs.

What do I do with this little booger?

Daisy really only licks the treat a few times. Doesn't really want it (why, I have NO clue?) I've tried putting him in his crate with his. But, he won't eat it then cause he wants out. I know it's because he sees me right there. But, I won't dare leave the room while they're chewing on things.

Tritia, Daisy, Cooper, and Bodie.

lol sounds like my Brando a bit. I used to give Bogart the bigger chews but Brando would take it. So now I give Brando the bigger one and he ends up taking Bogarts which is smaller....

I see I'm not alone.....what a relief !! I was thinking I had a real "problem child" on my hands with Jake. He takes EVERYTHING Jazz has. We named him "Jake Break The Mold" but we have been thinking we should have named him Jake Mine Mine Mine Mine Mine Mine Mine Mine Mine Mine Mine.....

OK, it must be a typical behavior 'cause that's exactly what Doc does. I tried the chew in the expen too, but he just sits there and looks at Izzy...wanting hers! I get on the floor, on my knees, put Doc between my legs and hold him there while I play with Izzy. It's the only way I can get Izzy to play...If I don't do that, Doc just takes the toy from her!

I have one of those too. If I give them each EXACTLY the same treats, McKenna always wants the one Sedona has. I fiigure fine, you take hers, she takes yours, everyone's happy right? Nope, McKenna then decides that the one Sedona has at the moment is the one she wants and we play the trade game for a good 10 minutes before anyone gets a chance to actually lay down and enjoy the treat. Sometimes Sedona will get fed up and growl when McKenna attempts yet another theft.
Every single new toy brought into this house becomes McKenna's also. At least for the first few hours until she tires of it and then it belongs to anybody. It's actually kind of funny to watch her deal with the fact that I've brought home multiple toys at the same time. She gets just a tad frantic. The giggle carrot was by far her favorite. She carried it around for three days and no one else could touch it. She was obsessed with the singing lobster I bought for DH too but we keep that out of her reach.

I feel much better!
I really thought I just had a big, ol' brat on my hands.
I'll admit, he's gotten a LOT worse about the toy thing. He's really gone after Bodie a few times in the last couple wk, and it worries me. He's REALLY aggresive
They play a lot, and of course growl..bite on each other a bit. But, you can tell those times it's gone from play to something else. And it's scary to have your kid sitting in the middle of it, which has happened more then once.

ahhh Tritia... the real problem here is Bodie, you will just have to send him to ME! (sorry, couldn't resist)

Jasper every now and then, will tease Cash, I have watched him more than once when Cash is hoarding the chews, saunter off and grab another chew, or even a toy(jasper has no use for toys otherwise), and then saunter back and start chewing right in front of Cash who is hoarding one or two desirable chews... this of course drives Cash crazy that Jasper is having any fun, so he leaves the stuff he is hoarding and starts whining at Jasper to give him the toy... Jasper complies and then scurries off to get the chew he wanted in the first place. I have watched it happen like that too many times to think it is just coincidence. It makes me so happy when Jasper sticks up for himself in such a smart, sneaky way.

Describes my two perfectly. Doesn't matter how many chews are down, Cody must have the one Tess has - doesn't matter bigger or smaller. And of course, Tess only wants the one Cody currently has. They'll leave two or three others laying on the floor to take turns chewing on the "favored" one. Tess will lay patiently and wait for Cody to finish his turn before she picks it up. Most times Cody will do the same, unless he thinks she's taking too long, then he sits and barks at her. To start with Tess would immediately get up and let Cody take the chew. Now, she just ignores him. It so reminds me of little kids!
