I hate to admit this

. . .but the one thing I hate about Bailey is his voice. He screeches whenever something in his world doesn't feel right, or when he wants something, or when he's afraid you'll step on him (or whatever). The sound of that screech could shatter glass -- literally. I love everything else about him but boy I sometimes want to shove a sock in his mouth (not really but I fantasize about it).

Do any of yours have that annoying attribute??? . . . or am I the only lucky one.

screeches? like a high pitched sound?

i am always surprises at mugsy as he has a very deep 'voice' for such a tiny thing. he is funny when he growls at outside noises - it's so low in the throat that it seems like it should be coming from another bigger, tougher dog.

Yes I have a few of those too. The worst one is Ulysses. Although she and a couple of the others are going to go to the doctor and learn how to use their indoor voice

Very high pitched. When he does it near me it literally hurts my ears. Milo's voice is nothing like that. If you're standing near him and he perceives he's in danger of getting stepped on he sounds as if you killed him. First few times I was really afraid I'd hurt him.

YES! Missy has that high pitch screech...I was hoping she would out grow it, but not sooo yet.
She too is the best dog, but every once in a while, most of the time when she is hungry and wants what I am eating she uses her high pitch screeching on me to get attention.

Funny, Bailey just did that to me a few minutes ago. I'm really glad to hear it's not just me. Who'd a thunk it -- one of the questions I should have asked was "could you record his voice" before I committed to taking a dog.

We had Tasha at the groomers for the second time. When my wife picked her up they were not happy. She apparently did her high frequency crying all the while she was there. It can really hurt your ears so I know what they went through. We have another appointment but my wife might have to stay so they can do a better job this time. Here's a pic now that she's one year old.

I can't believe Tasha's already one year old! Wow, time flies. She's a cutie pie.

Ollie has a screech too, and yes, it can hurt your ears. Even his bark is funny...sort of high and squeely, scratchy sounding. Honestly, my chihuahua has a MUCH more menacing bark. Oliver couldn't scare a kitten with his! I do love him, though, despite his thoroughly wimpy bark.

Geri, is it possible to catch Bailey's screech on video? I really have no idea of what that would even sound like. It must be annoying though....

Geri, you may seriously need to consider getting Baily debarked. It's not cruel and can make everyone so much happier. I had a Keeshond who was shrill and if she'd stayed, we would have had to debark her.
