OK, OK, you found me out...and I was trying to be subtle!
Yes, we have a new girl, a 5 month old Coton, Chelsie.
Some of you may remember my rescue bichipoo puppy, who had to be taken back to rescue because of Cazzie's ill will towards her. Both DH and I were really affected by this - strange how we could be so taken with a scrawny little pup we only had for 24 hours - But of course, there is always...the rest of the story.
I had seen Chelsie's photo last spring, a dear little girl, and her sweet face looked like she was telling me, "Please give me a home." She was not a rescue, but she was the last of her litter. After correspondence with the breeder, and nothing coming from it, my heartstrings were tugged by Rescues and I got involved with looking at petfinder every day. Then the little ragamuffin we adopted, and what followed...
I kept remembering the little coton's sweet face and I wondered if she was still available...she was. Yet we weren't convinced until we actually saw her. It was love at first sight. The amazing thing is that Cazzie has loved her from the get-go. He took to her immediately. They play and run and tug of war over toys... Chelsie seemed a bit shy but after one week is coming out of her shell nicely. DH thought she was the last one chosen in her litter because she was the shy one. But I think she was waiting for us. Cazzie knew it!
She's not a Hav but close!
So now, I have a puppy!
