Question Can I Fly with A Can of Dog Food?

or does this fall into the liquid category? Anyone know?

I can't believe I now live in a country where I have to worry about this type of thing.

FYI my brother, who is an F-16 pilot for the Air Force says the TSA fails every bomb test the government puts them through...great. It's all for show!

I'll just apologize right now, as I'm sure this post will offend some one. I am in a real mood today. Yikes! Feel for my family.

You should have no problem as long as it is not opened. They will see the metal in your bag and likely pull you aside for further inspection. Which can be problematic with a dog as they may have an issue with you putting her back in her bag. Yuk. So I would point it out to them, or just take it out of your bag and set it in the plastic box next to your bag.

Don't know the answer Amy, but why not call your airlines. So sorry you're having one of those days.

I'd take it out of the bag and place it in the plastic tray that goes through the xray. Better to be up front about it and maybe they won't get crazy on you! I tried to take an apple with me and you would have thought I had TNT.

I believe it is 3, 1oz containers you are allowed in a little see-thru baggie.
Check on the TSA website or State department.
Oh, and be prepared to taste it, if they ask you too.

Um, I'd rather have them toss it as I am a vegetarian and don't think I'd get through the "taste testing" without . I've always wanted to use that emoticon!

Amy, I would just buy a can when you arrive where ever you are going. Or mail one to yourself at the hotel or friends house.

Yep, Missy that's what the plan is. I'm guessing California won't be "a third world country where I can't find Merrick dog food in a can.)!

My g-ma has taken Tuna before and as long as it's not opened they can see that it's sealed and if it has a label in it you should be fine, but double check with your airlines. They all seem to be different now days. My g-ma flies with her pooches ALOT and she always takes canned food with her.
