still not feeling well

well, django has been under the weather for a week. he had low energy and wasn't eating. took him to the vet, had swollen lymph glands. vet put him on aspirin and antibiotics. day 3 into it, django had the runs, followed by a throw up session the following morning. vet saw him agian, told me to take him off everything including the new food i was slowly introducing him to. well, it's 3 days later and he' s still out of sorts. i have been feeding him cooked chicken strips,he has no appetite but will eat the chicken, i;ve tried crushing his kibble and tossing it over the chicken in hopes he will eat some of that as well. he's on day 2 1/2 with the chicken. can't seem to stomache his dry food. i have been trying not to act like he's sick thinking he's picking up on my sympathy but he's still not up to par. poor guy, i think it's another call to the vet tomorrow for some blood work.

Oh darn - poor Django. I think once their systems get upset, it can take a while. Carolina recommends a combination of 2/3 chicken and 1/3 cooked rice. Maybe adding the rice will help bind him up and get things feeling better quicker.

Oh no, I'm sorry Django is sick Our Bodie has been battling something for over a wk now. Also thought to be a change in food.
Hope he gets better soon. I know it's been a bummer here having a sick one. So, I can relate. Hang in there!

I sure hope he gets feeling better soon. Also - wanted to check since you didn't mention. When you were feeding him rice - was it white rice? Plain is best. Brown is too hard for them to digest. We ALWAYS eat the Brown Jasmine rice from Trader Joe's (which is awesome by the way), but I had to buy some plain white rice for Gracie to have on had just in case she gets sick. This may have been what you fed him, but was just checking. Hope he is better soon.

Yeah, I agree. It's time for blood work. I'm so sorry the little sweetie is sick. Belly rubs from me!
