Dog goodies at Target

I was in Target this morning and the $1 section had a ton of dog stuff. Now I know it is pretty cheap stuff but for a one time wear or a back up I thought some of the stuff would do. They had toys and clothes.

They had red or pink cheerleader outfits and white with different numbers (based on the size) football jerseys. Collars, leashes, harnesses, balls, ropes, bowls (little metal ones) and frisbees (and more) all for $1. They were gearing up for football season I guess.

I was going to buy some clothes because Jonathan believes it is "so wrong" to dress your dog up. I figure it doesn't hurt to torture your child every once in a while for every time he or she will torture you with their less then stellar behavior/mood. I just couldn't decide if I really wanted to bug Jonathan by putting Gitter in the cheerleader outfit or just go with the jersey. I don't want to scar Gitter for life after all. I have to ponder that one.

Well, whatever you decide, you must take pictures for our sake as well as Jonathan's! Ha ha!

(I never look in the $1 section, but it's right as I walk in and grab my cart, so I'll have to make a point of looking that way when I go next time. I'm usually on a mission to get right out though. )

A "cross-dressing" Gitter?? We'll have to have a photo, you know! I was at the Target at 14 Mile and Haggerty today and didn't look at the doggie stuff... gives me an excuse to go tommorrow, right?

I've bought some of the inexpensive toys at Target... they've actualy lasted just fine. My boys are like yours... they do not want Roxie in clothes! They always take the top knot down, even if it's not one with a bow!

Somehow I think Jonathan would consider himself the one who is scarred for life and Gitter would be up for whatever made you smile.

I'll be checking out Target tomorrow too! Which Target did you go to, Hedy?

I was going out to ride Ranger so I stopped at the one on Haggerty just past 9 mile (across from Meijer's).

I'm with you there!! That's how my son felt about topknots at first. When Scout sported his first topknot, my son yelled, "Nooooooo, Mom!!!!! He's too young!!!!!!!!"
