Fish Oil for less $$$

I know the fish and salmon oil are expensive for the furkids so I started giving them one of mine! At first I just gave them the whole capsule and they played with it and ate it but what a mess! I think most of the oil stayed on the ground. Now I have a little nail and I poke a hole in the end of the capsule and squirt it into a LITTLE bowl or a saucer. They each get one capsule and lick it right up. I've noticed their coats have gotten real soft and silky too.

Yeah Judith, that's the one I give. Does Coco just swallow it or chew it? You don't squirt it in a bowl?

I squirt one on Cicero's food. I don't think he would just eat one, but I will try tomorrow!!

My DH's heart doctor told him to take at least 2 a day for heart health...and 3 if he wants to lose some weight. SO, I take 2 in the morning and 2 after dinner.

by the way, I just read that if you freeze the pills you don't get the fishy burp back (for you not your pups although they might like a frozen pill better too)

you can take all 4 pills together if you prefer... your body metabolizes them the same as if you split it up.

Carole, have you noticed that they curb your appitite? They do in this house and it's nice to hear DH say, "I'm not really hungry"...instead of...."What are we going to eat?"
