Todd's 1st trip to the Dogpark!

I know I'm gonna get some flak but I forgot the camera..
I'll do better next time, I promise!
We had a great time.
There were only two dogs there since we went in the early afternoon and most people were working still.
The first doggie was a HUGE shepard...Todd loved chasing him around..lol
Then a couple showed up with a 10 lb. peke/pug mix.
Todd tried to show her what a tough "cujo" dog he was at first but the other dogs owners took it all in stride and told me to let him off leash so that they could get to know each other.
We all took them for a run across the field and within a few minutes they were having a great time RLH together
They played for about an hour and Todd is WORN OUT!
He's been sleeping for almost two hours and doesn't show sigms of waking anytime soon.
If the rain stops we'll be going back tomarrow and I promise to remember the camera this time.

Nothing better than watching your guy run free enjoying himself to the point of exhaustion lol It's good for him and even better for you

Chances are if your parents never had kids...you won't either...

Isn't it fun to watch them have so much fun. I love taking my girls to places where I know they can run and play. Do remember the camera next time. We'd love to see Todd playing.

Okay, we made it to the dogpark again today and I remembered to snap a pic right before we left. Sorry there aren't more but I swear, most of the time all that you could see was a flash of fur anyway..lol
Todd met half a dozen big dogs today and three tiny ones...there was the CUTEST chocolate toy poodle (4 1/2 lbs!)...she and Todd had a blast together...I also got opinions on trainers in our area from several people.
There's a great training facility about 2 minutes from the dogpark and so we're signing up for Puppy Kindergarten next week! Yay!
They also have agility training indoors so that we can play through the winter.
Oh yeah...Todd and I were picking up my son at pre-school (at the local high school) and Todd and I met a teenage boy named Rusty and his helper. Rusty is in a wheelchair and can't speak...he also has very little movement of his body but you should have seen his face light up when Todd sat on his lap and licked his hands..it totally made his day!
Todd was really gentle too.. He's such a good puppy

Way to go Todd for being good with all the other dogs! Noa takes a while to warm up to other dogs, and big ones especially intimidate her. Once she's warmed up to them she goes RLH crazy but it does take a few minutes for her to get there. Sounds like Todd is not shy at all, which is great, and I love the story about him and Rusty. These are such sweet dogs, they were pretty much designed to make somebody's day like that

Today definately went much more smoothly than yesterday.
Todd seems to be accepting the idea that little dogs aren't going to try to eat him..lol

That's neat how Todd took to Rusty. It is amazing what a little dog and some kisses can do for someone with disabilities.
