Easy Delivery

Pam has been gone for several days helping our daughter move into a different place at school so I was here by myself yesterday. Our best guess for delivery was on Tuesday or Wednesday and thought she would be back by then.

Yesterday, Sunday, Roxie ate breakfast like normal at about 8 a.m. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Two hours later and she came to tell me that the show was on. I got her cleaned up and everything in place thinking maybe she would deliver sometime early evening.

I carried one of the guys who works for us home by the time I got him to get ready to go. He lives a mile and a half away. When I got back to the house she had delivered the first one and had him cleaned up! It was 11:38 when I got back to the house. The pup was very strong and moving around as much as any one I've ever seen and hollering. He wasn't wimpering or in distress, he was hollering for breakfast. He was ready to eat and Mom's milk hadn't come down yet.

She finished delivering the last one, the fourth, at 12:58 and her milk hadn't come down yet. I was starting to think of what to do, called Pam, and when I went back in to check on her they were all lined up at the bar.

Checked their weights today and while sometimes it's normal for them to loose a little the first 24 hours, they had all gained 1/8 to a 1/4 ounce...except for the one girl. She had gained 1/2 ounce. She nurses until it looks like she's going to explode and then instead of rooting around to find a comfortable spot, she just rolls over on her back and sleeps where she is.

Roxie hasn't stopped smiling.

I'm having all sorts of trouble with pictures that Microsoft and Adobe can neither figure out. I pretty much can't send one anywhere except by email. I spent 5 hours on the phone with Microsoft while they took control of my computer and when they finished nothing had changed. Adobe has been not any help. This started months ago when I first installed Photoshop. It even screwed up transferring pictures to our website. It had gotten to the point that I had given up.

I'm scared to uninstall Photoshop thinking that we won't be able to do anything on our own computer. Any time we open a picture with any of the Microsoft stuff, Adobe takes over and opens it, although very slowly, in Photoshop and the only thing I can do is drag and drop it into a Microsoft application to send it from there.

Frustrating, but I've got too much other stuff to do................

Anyway, sorry no pics. Three boys, black and white pied, and one girl brindle parti. I can email one to someone if they wouldn't mind downsizing it and posting it.

Gotta leave now to go pick Pam up at the airport so I probably won't be able to check back until later.
