Halloween Fun & Safety

With Halloween around the corner, I thought that I would share my best Trick or Treat tip. We put a baby gate on the outside of the front door so that we can open the door for Trick or Treaters without worrying about the dogs escaping. The dogs love greeting the children & the kids love seeing the dogs! Yes, costumes for the dogs adds to the fun! The dogs think that all these people are coming just to see them! We don't have a storm door, but I suppose you could put the gate between the doors or prop open the storm door.

I let my guys see and they are with kids all the time but not on Halloween.
The kids are hyper enough with the treats and running up and down stairs. I just feel better not having them a part of Halloween during Trick or Treat time.
Oliver and Comet are in the back room with other family members....and their own treats

Sally,((Oliver)) Comet and Pennie too!

Paradise is a state of mind!!

Actually Paradise is a speck on the map that is part of Newburgh, outside of Evansville.

We are in a "drop off" neighborhood and can have 200+ Ghoulies & Ghosties! There is no escaping it so we embrace it!

What a fabulous idea! I've been wondering what I was going to do this year. Last year, I had a boyfriend who kept Stella on a leash while I answered the door. This year, no boyfriend so the baby gate will be a perfect solution!

We do that gate thing too! I think Saydee would make a great pumpkin for Halloween with her black and white coat. I just may break down and do the dress up thing this year. My human kids are "too old" for that so...
