Great dog toys: the gifts that keep on giving

Does anyone have a favorite toy that is worth the investment? Moxie has been going through toy after toy. He is a major chewer and I am trying to withhold bully sticks and such until his tummy gets corrected. So he has been dismembering his toys, one by one.
This is getting expensive, but a satisfying toy is critical for peace and quiet around here. Yet I am tired of wasting my money on the stuff that he doesn't seem attracted to or that does not last.

Oh I do!!!! The hide a squirreld has been the biggest hit in my house.. They got it for Xmas last year, and Logan and Lexi play with the squirrels every single day!! Logan carries them outside, and Lily brings them back in at the end of the day!! I have never had to sew any, and I can order replacement squirrels if I want!! They dont play with the tree as much, but the cost of the tree was worth it to get the 3 squirrels.

Judy, the hide a squirrel is great. It's a squirrel house with 3 squirrels and they squeak. You stick them deep into the house and they have to dig them out. Havee ruins soft toys too quickly, but he loves the little squirrels to play with.

Yoyo has the same thing but it's a cube with squeaky balls inside. He loves it. He's always liked digging around to get surprises and he loves trying to pull the balls out. We got it when it was on sale at Petsmart...only $3!

Roxie pretty much only likes plushie toys... doesn't care for rope toys, fleece balls and ropes, other balls, latex things. She will chew a nylabone (the ones for powerful chewers) some and, of course, adores flossies! We go through the plushies like crazy. She has two that have lasted longer than the average one day. One is her Pink Dragon toy which is plush on the outside but some kind of tough material on the inside. She has had it a couple of weeks and it looks a bit worse for the wear but is still intact. She also has a AKC duck toy by Jakks that I think I got at Pet Smart which has lasted for a couple of months (though she almost has pulled both wings off... it won't be long till it is dead too.

Now, her favorite toy of all time was her giggling eggplant... but she went through two of them in less than two weeks! So no more giggling veggies for her... till Christmas, anyway!

Jan, I was just thinking the same thing about their resemblance!
I just bought a "durable" plush dragon toy today that came with a 60 day guarantee. It's dead already.
We loved the curly snake. It lasted two months. Lots of bang for that buck, though.
Honestly, a homemade yarn pompom has been a hit too. The breeder sent him home with one and I made a second and he loves the strands.

What is a "flossie?"

Oh, and Tucker's favorites are stuffed animals, with squeakies in them, but he doesn't rip them apart. I guess I'm lucky! He also like the teeny-tiny, squeakable, tennis balls.

Although the squirrels are the favorite - we also have the Hide a Bee, and the Bees are a bigger hit than the hive itself. I think they are just the right size for my guys to carry around in theire mouths & squeek!
