Meet Mollie new baby sister Bailey

I finally gave in and got a little sister for mollie. She is so adorable and adjusting to her new life. Bailey is 18 months and just so sweet. But I need to know is it possible to readjust her potty habits. she use to have access to a yard but now we walk her and leave a pad on the floor. She seem to ( again this is just our first day) walk outside then when she got back to the house she went #1 in one room and Number #2 in the bathroom. is it possible to train her to go on the pad and when we walk her like Mollie does. I really love her but how do I correct this

Yay!!! Congrats Elizabeth on your newest sweat pea. She is sooo pretty!!! Did you knit her sweater in pic one?

These guys are smart, so you can probably get her to pee like Mollie...but why do you want them to pee on pads inside vs. going out?

I have NO experience with using pee pads, so I'm sure someone will give you great advice.

What a sweet face... congratulations!!! I'll leave the potty advice to those with more experience, just wanted to welcome your new addition.

Hi Amy

we leave the pads down when we are at work during the day.

I hope some one has good advice cause i walked her outside and she did not go till we came home.

Hugs and have a Hava day!

I've read that if they do not go on a walk, when you come home you should put them in the crate for about 20 minutes and then try again outside. I never really had his problem so I don't know if it works, but I did see in the two Hav books I read recently.

I want to second what Esperanita said. We did this with Kubrick when we were teaching him to go outside (on the street). If he still didn't go after 15 minutes in the crate, we would put him back in the crate for 10 minutes and then back outside until he peed. We did this mostly right after he woke up so we knew that he HAD to go. If you want to train her to use the pee pads, then do it on the pee pad instead. Tell her Go Potty, don't look at her and make sure she stays on the pad. Put her back in the crate if she doesn't go then repeat.... make sure to praise LOTS and treat her when she does what you want her to do! She'll catch on eventually.

Oh and once again, congrats on the new pup!!!
