Okay, so I went to Petco the other day and got 2 toys for Saydee 'cause I felt guilty spending the day at the mall with my daughter and leaving Saydee at home with DH. These two toys have been such a hit! I think these even top the JC Penney jewelry bag I've mentioned in previous posts:
Excerpt from Saydee's JC Penney Bag, aka "The Best Toy Ever":
One day I gave Saydee a fancy little gift bag from the JC Penney jewelry department (it was my birthday ) It has these little rope handles and a metallic sheen. This bag has been the all-time best toy ever for Saydee. She will rip around the house with the rope handles hanging from her teeth. She's never torn the bag, but the metallic sheen has softened from wear to almost a fabric-like texture. If someone new comes to the house, she will graciously share her "happy bag" with them.
My husband went back to the jewelry counter at JC Penney and asked for another bag for his puppy. Imagine how silly he must have felt! It was very sweet when he came home and presented it to her. Now she has 2 "happy bags"! She feverishly works to get handles from both bags in her mouth at the same time, and then RLH begins. Or, she shoves her face repeatedly into the bag, pounding her nose inside it. Eventually she will fall asleep on top of the bag, paws wrapped possesively around it, sometimes with the strings still hanging from her teeth. Saydee-So-Silly!
Anyway, one of the "happy bags" is now in doggy toy heaven, so here's the new Petco toys:
It's the perfect size, surprisingly tough, and the feet and tail are stiff. Saydee thinks it's a real rat or something. She tears all over the house with it and then falls asleep with the tail hanging from her teeth.
Just thought I'd share my finds! I know there's other posts regarding this subject but does anybody else have a doggie toy favorite?

How fun! The doggyworth dog looks like a great toy. (My dogs would rip the cat toy up in a heartbeat and probably try to eat the bell!)
My dogs love basic plush toys, but especially the ones that have long legs and arms so they can do the "kill" shake to them and get the other dogs all wound up. We also have a strange Coleman toy that Rufus' family brought over that looks like a dead skunk or something furry. That one is a hit if I put it away for a while and bring it out on a rare occasion. It's huge too!
I think we worry about their favorite toy...like losing our kids security blankets.
Cicero loves all his toys but his very favorite is a little blue elephant. I think because its softer than most and has so many places to easily pick it up and squeks easy by pressing his nose or just laying down on it. I have hunted for another one because I know this one will not last forever. Everynight he gets it about 8:00 and has his play time -- it looks like with an imaginary friend -- tosses it and jumps on it like a little mountain goat. He plays for about 15 minutes non stop. We had rather watch the "Cicero Show" much better than the news.
It was the first toy we bought him the day after we got him. He is really good with toys and has never distroyed any of them. But I do want another elephant...just in case.
Yep, I was debating whether I should get a couple of back up doggyworth dogs and tuck them away somewhere in case this one gets lost of torn up! I love the box of toys you have for Cicero. I thought I was the only one that "spoiled" my pup with a basket of toys. I have one basket upstairs and one down. We alternate the toys every week or so. By the way, Cicero really is a beautiful boy. I love his coat colors. I always wonder if Saydee will end up with some silver.
Roxie is so hard on her toys! She even destroyed her "un-destroyable" pink dragon. But, as my husband pointed out the other day, at least she doesn't chew on the furniture! I think that doggyworth dog looks like one she'd love... it looks so soft. I love watching Roxie play with her toys.... she throws them, brings them to you to throw, and delights in killing them! Several people have commented they've never seen a dog who loves toys like Roxie does. Do all havs love toys like that?
I've just accepted the fact she'll need a few new toys each week since she pretty much love plushies exclusively... gives me an excuse to shop, right!
Yep, I might have to try your toy shopping technique now that Saydee's growing in her new big girl teeth... it's so cute. She has two buck teeth in the front. I love to peel back her lips and check out her pink gums and two shiny new teeth.
