A big thank you to whoever suggested a baby gate for the door last night!
I took your advice and used a baby gate to keep Stella in the house when the trick or treaters came last night. It worked perfectly. She was able to see all the kids and I was able to give them treats without worrying about her getting out. It was so cute to see her with her paws on the top of the gate and her little head hanging over the top getting as many pats and kisses as she could She was such a good girl. Towards the end of the night, when the doorbell rang, she'd run to my chair to get me.
Poor Daisy She just wanted to see the costumes, Mommy Oh well, there's always next year. It really was a perfect solution. Stella loves to sneak out my front door and then thinks it's a game when I try to get her back in. I think I'm going to use my gate every time I have a diiner party or friends over. They just open the door and forget about her lurking behind it. If I use the gate, they'll have to go through the little door to the garage and then to the kitchen door. If she sneaks out that door, she'd be confined to the garage. I've got a feeling my gate is going to get lots of use
