Rolling in it

Ugh! We just had this conversation here the other day. So, we are getting ready to go out. We have a 90 minute drive ahead of us, but it's nice out, so let's go play with Gryff in the leaves first. Five seconds later, he is rolling around in something like turkey poop. It is black and green and all over his fur. I have to give him a bath before we go, obviously, and now we're late! Of course we are even later because I had to stop and tell you all about it.

I reiterate - why do we even like these guys?

Yuck. Don't you love how they always find it and it's always when you are in a hurry to go some place.

Sorry to laugh Ivy, but it helps to know Cody isn't the only one out there looking for the most disgusting thing possible. Cody & Tess' latest is to be absolutely obsessed with eating rabbit poop. The minute they're in the back yard they make a beeline for it. I can buy the most expensive food & treats out there - and they just want to eat the gross stuff in the yard. I give up!

Sorry.... I know it's not funny really... but your description had me laughing out loud.

(knocking wood as I type this) Roxie hasn't developed this habit. I hope she won't! I'm late enough as it is usually!

It wasn't deer poop, although that is mighty plentiful here. It was more of a greenish-black blob like bird poop, but bigger. We do have wild turkeys here, but I haven't seen any for a while. Doesn't mean they aren't here, I just haven't seen them. We also have lots of geese, but they don't land in my yard. Whatever it was, it was gross. It got on his collar too. I had to dig around for my old cat Tony's collar. RIP Tony.

The rest of the day was good. We took Alec to see Nat and Alex Wolfe in concert in NYC (otherwise know to Nickelodeon Mom's out here as The Naked Brothers Band). They were actually really good. Then we had dinner and drove back home. My son is so spoiled!
