I'm baffled...any ideas?

I've been thinking about asking you all if you've got any experience with this, but, think it might be specific to Tucker...but I hope not.

At night I leave the heat down. Tucker sleeps in bed with me, usually pushed up against me. The last month around the middle of the night he sometimes twitches, almost a shiver, but more like a horse twitching off a fly. If he isn't actually touching me, I can't feel it, but I AM a very light sleeper and do feel it. It's been getting down to about 60 degrees by morning.

Do any of your guys do this? It doesn't seem like it could be cold enough for him to be shivering, (although he does like the house warm when there is a fire going.) He's not jerking like he's dreaming. Allergies and some kind of weird, cyclical timing? He's got a full coat--I'm afraid a sweater or coat would mat his hair, and be uncomfortable for him to sleep in. He'd feel bad at this time if I made him sleep in his crate, he prefers the bed--and so do I!

I really can't figure this out. Don't want him to be cold, or even sick, and not figure it out. Most people wouldn't even wake up to feel it.

Any ideas, please?

Brady will do that sometimes. I think they are dreaming. Perhaps of cookies and bones. I always wonder what they must dream about.

Sorry, just realized you said it doesn't seem like he is dreaming.

I wanted to show new pictures of Tucker, too, but was afraid to try it at the same time as my post, in case it doesn't work.

Sheri

He's got a ball in his mouth as he's running...

Missy sleeps right next to me and she doesn't do anything like that.

Sherry,
I am pretty certain that at 60 degrees your baby is not cold. A dream or just a simple body shake is my guess.

Debra, what is a body shake? Something specific? He will do it for a long time...shiver...minute later a shiver....minute later a shiver...half a minute later a shiver....five minutes later a shiver...

Sheri, Maybe Tucker is just dreaming? Also, can a dog actually get sick? (flu like) anyone know??

Sheri, I call it a body shake --- that fluff-out whole body shake that they do during the day to fluff up. I just though that maybe your baby was attempting that during the night, half asleep and it looked like a shiver....????
Or maybe only MOxie does that...

I too would think it's dreaming. Does he wake up?

The photos of him are great, love the one where he's running!
