Bellini is being spayed right now!!!

I could hardly sleep last night worrying about this! I know we want her spayed, I know it's the right thing, I know this is what is best all around, and yet, I am nervous and I am just ready for her to be home.

My son was worried that we won't be able to kiss her soft pink and grey tummy any more!

It's gonna be a long day

sigh!

My little guy Simon lost his manhood last monday. He laid around for about 3 days and then he was back to his old self, running and playing.

If you haven't already, go and get a couple of oneies for her to wear, instead of the cone. It worked great for Simon, and they look adorable in them.

Peace, Love & Havanese

Awww, I'm sure all will be fine.
I have to schedule Gracie some time after Thanksgiving for hers. I'm nervous too...
Please let us know how she does...will she come home today?

wow I didn't even think about the cone!! I haven't gone through the whole spay process in 13 years! How cute is the onsie idea! Bellini would totally pick and chew the stitches! I see you are from KY as well, I have seen no Havies here but when I was looking for a groomer, the girl at Petsmart said they do lot's and lots' of Havies, I have a feeling not so much!

Thanks for the tip, will have to go get those before she comes home!

My mom has a hav also, and took her's to petsmart on hurstbourne lane and they did a terrible job. I don't think there are very many havs in ky. I live in Taylorsville, but I grew up and lived in Fern Creek most of my life.

Peace, Love & Havanese

Hi Karla,

Yes we pick her up late this evening, my vet won't let her come home till she is up and stable. Funny that this dog was a replacement for my heart dog, and she is very attached to my husband and I am the crazy one today, since I am a SAHM the dog and I are always together, the house is quiet without her here.

wow, your right here close to me, I am right off westport road by springhurst.
I had shown my husband pictures of your Havies before, it is the first dog ever that has been crazy about, he has tolerated my mixed breed dogs before and he has always been the treat guy, but this Havi is all him, and the other day he said "yeah, I could have more than one of these" heheh maybe some day!!!

My daughter plays indoor soccer at river city soccer, right across from Cheddars.

I started with one hav and in less than 3 years I now have 4. They are very addicting. They are just the sweetest little dogs.

Peace, Love & Havanese

Hi!

I am straight west of you in southern Indiana. It is amazing how men who would never want a small dog fall in love with this breed! I taxed my brain to decipher SAHM then decided that I am a SAHEN, stay at home empty nester. I call the dogs the replacements!

I had Rosa spayed about a month ago and she absolutely hated the onesie! She tolerated the collar pretty well. She learned to run around with her head in the air and even jumped on & off the couch and did stairs!
