Stogie is a Turkey

I wanted to post this earlier, but have been busy eating and sleeping. haha

On Thanksgiving day we had a lot of people over and a big buffet type spread on the dining room table. Almost everyone had eaten at least their first helping. Someone goes into the dining room, and Stogie is ON THE TABLE EATING TURKEY!!!!! Holy cow. He jumps down when caught, and has a slice of turkey breast in his mouth. He was taking it to-go.

So I move ALL the chairs away from the table. There was only a couple, as we had them all in the living room for people to sit on. No worries now, he has no access. WRONG! Someone catches him yet again, this time he decided he would try the FRIED turkey!!!!! He jumped clear from the floor to the table. I couldnt believe it.

They were in such a hurry to get him off the table and needless to say we had to pitch some of the turkey, I didnt get any pics. DANGIT! Thank God he didn't touch the cornbread dressing!!!!

Anyone else have any problems? He was OK but he did throw up a couple of times the next day. Then he peed on my new snow boots and I found out they are indeed waterproof! WHAT A DAY!

Too funny! I wish you had gotten pictures. What a character he is - and what a jumper!

LOL! While a photo of him up on the table spread with food would have been hilarious, I suppose it is understandable as to why we'll never see it. I did think that camera was an extension of your arm, but now I know better.

Now that he's had a taste, wait until he contemplates his plan all year long for the next big Thanksgiving meal.

WAAAAAAA!!!!! No pictures??

I have to say, though, that it's hysterical picturing Stogie up there thinking he has every right. I mean, everyone ELSE ate the turkey, didn't they? So why not him?

Melissa~ That reminds me of Amanda's story of when Belle and Dora got on the dinner table when she was entertaining some colleagues of Jim's. Her 1st reaction was to yell, "Belle, Dora, down!" Since both of them are so well trained, that's exactly what they did, a "down" right there on the table

I'm glad to know Stogie's antics only rendered him a sick stomach. But, you know how dogs are, there was probably no "lesson learned", so watch out for next year

He did not give ANY to Goldie. Neither did I, because she is a farter. haha

I KNOW people were feeding them, so he KNEW all that good stuff was right there on that table, just waiting for him.

Maybe for Christmas, Ill set up a video camera.

That Stogie! I can just picture it!

You mean your guests didn't want to eat seconds after seeing Stogie eating? I can't imagine why!
