Wink My Forever Maiden

Just wanted to report that Cricket was spayed Tuesday. I was kind of a nervous wreck...she spent the night at the vet's office so they could monitor her. But she came home yesterday, and except for seeing the stitches on her pink belly, I can't even tell they did anything! She's acting totally normal, running around like crazy, and eating and drinking normally. She doesn't have to wear a collar because she hasn't messed with her stitches at all. I'm just so relieved that everything went well, and it's over. Just have to take her back in in a few days to have the stitches removed.

I didn't ask the vet when I picked her up, but I need to call them today to ask when I can give her a bath. She's got that hospital smell...ugh!

Sounds like everything went perfectly. She's obviously feeling great. I hope we fare as well because Pixie is next!

Kim, I'm glad to hear that all went well with Cricket. It's always hard to drop them off knowing they are about to undergo surgery. Hugs to Cricket!!

Glad to read Cricket is doing well after her spay. Be careful-she could get her stitches when your not looking! They can be stinkers like that!

Glad to hear she is doing so well. Keep a close eye on her for awhile. Those stitches can itch as they heal and she could still want to get at them.
Not sure about the bath.

I'm glad this is over for you. I do remember that Cicero did better than I did. I used a waterless shampoo to freshen Cicero up till I could give him a bath. Cricket needs a few extra treats for not bothering her stitches!!

Yes, we need more pics of Cricket. She's got such cool face coloring. More more more!

And hooray for that girl bouncing back so fast. No Onesies needed!
