Ok, Amanda...I could have used one of these the other night..it could have saved me from crashing my Lexus!
I had shared this story with Leslie via Email, as I thought it wouldn't be an appropriate thread. But since you raised the issue..
I had to go up to the ATM the other night to get some cash out to pay for my stepdaughter's hair appointment (a birthday gift from me). Well, when I left the house I had decided to take the two fur babies as my hairdresser had always wanted to see them.
When I am driving in my car, Sophie and Gabe usually share the front passenger seat.
Well as I was headed down the main street in our town Gabriel hopped up on the center console/arm rest to look out the front window. I didn't see a problem with this, as I was only going about 20 MPH down a vaccant one way street. Then, all of the sudden Gabe turned around facing the back. What I didn't see, but SMELLED, was that he was hanging his hiney slightly over the arm rest.. POOPING!! I hit the overhead light to find a neatly placed pile of POOP right at base of where the drive gear is..! Now since that area is laminated, I just pushed him over to the seat with Sophie, popped open the arm rest (this is where I am prepared) pulled out several napkins and some antibiotic wipes. Since there was no one on the road and as I was driving so slow anyway, I was able to clean it up fairly quick.
I then pulled into the bank parking lot looking for a trash can (at this point I had pulled over and stopped) There were two men working on the building by the entrance, but the only trash cans I saw were behind a brick enclosure across the lot. When I began to do a slow U-Turn (about 3 MPH) I thought I smelled Gabe cut loose again, so I glanced down as I was turning. As I glanced down I hit the corner of the brick enclosure with the right front part of my car
As I stopped and popped out to look at it, the two men came running over wanting to know if I was ok. Well, when I told them the story they were laughing so hard they didn't even care about looking at what I had done to my car.
I have to admit that it wasn't too bad because I was actually coasting as I turned...
Anyway..my DH didn't kill me (as you can tell).
Maybe I should get be some of these...
