Hopefully only once!!!!!

Oliver, Comet and I started putting up the tree and the phone rang.
We went to answer it and sometime during the conversation 2 playful boys went back into the other room. Down went the tree!
Thankfully no lights or anything on it! The boys are OK
How do you block off your trees?
I usually put and xpen up but since we had just brought it into the house

Sally,((Oliver)) Comet and Pennie too!

Honestly? I actually did that one time...but only because I was living with my mom in California (where tree's are BIG $$$) at the time and couldn't find the bottom part of her artificial tree!!

Oops, bad news Sally. At least no one was hurt. Its just like having toddlers, isn't it? Fortunately, I have the perfect Hav, and Maddie leaves the tree alone (after a few stern "leave it" commands). But the hanging tree sounds like a winner. At least its unique.

Mine never bothered the tree, but they like to sleep under it.

I was SHOCKED last year because Havee barely touched the tree. He nibbled on one branch once in a while. We'll see what happens this year!

How about a large tree stuck in a trash can full of sand tied to a sprinkler gizmo in the ceiling of a hotel room to hold it up? That's what we did our first year here since we were waiting for the house over Christmas. It's a good thing it was a 2 bedroom suite because I decided Christmas Eve to put a tree up and all the lots were closed and hubby got the tree free.....they just threw them in the trash. I told him to get the smallest and a 7 foot tree was it.
When we took that thing down hubby took it down the stairs instead of the elevator and since it had no water, the needles were DRY. It left a heck of a mess as he went bump bump bump down the stairs with it. The maids got a HUGE tip from us for that one. <oops>
The great part about it was I got all the ornaments at half price since it was already Christmas Eve. Nobody had a tree holder though, hence the trash can filled with sand.
