Frenemies - typical cat dog interaction

This is typical of the interaction between Charlie and Suki several times a day - i think they are fairly evenly matched

Suki sometimes looks as if she hates it, but 5 mins later and she's back for more. She has plenty of places she can jump up to escape but chooses not to and when I'm out with Charlie, DH says she often wanders around the house as if she is looking for him.

The funniest is when they play chase - first one in front and then back the other way with the other in front. But they're too fast for me to get it on video.

They look like they are enjoying the interaction. We had cats for many years with our dogs and they always chose higher ground when they got tired of interacting with the dogs so if Sukiyaki didn't want to play she would find another place to be.

Sophie and Pepper play exactly the same way many times a day. I love it!

Got to show that to my daughter and son-in-law, as they just adopted a shelter dog and have three cats at home. So far they are keeping the dog away from the cats until they can assess the situation. They will enjoy seeing that and it should be reassuring to them, as they held off for so long on getting a dog because of the cats. I really enjoyed the video.
