Couldn't get the link to work but if you search latest recall for Blue Buffalo you should be able to read about the link of too much Vitamin D in Blue Buffalo that has caused illness in several dogs.

I don't feed Blue Buffalo, and probably wouldn't choose it. However, in fairness, that recall was over 3 years ago. According to the company, they have not had a recall since then.

I feed the sisters blue buffalo puppy food. Once their were two many little freeze dried pieces in the bag. I called and asked how many should be in one feeding. They were really nice to me and found out that a lot somehow got messed up. They gave me a $50.00 certificate. I switched later when I found out about the recall. On the other hand wellness had a recall and didn't offer their customers any compensation. I switched to Acanna after that.

Just this year there were a ton of complaints of sick dogs. The company changed hands so who knows where they get ingredients or how things are made....

I was going to feed Maccabee BB's senior chicken formula when he came off the prescription food. His vet recommended keeping him on a low protein diet and that formula has one of the lowest protein percentages of commercial foods. When I heard about all the illnesses that were being reported I re-evaluated and switched him from the prescription food to Honest Kitchen Keen.
