Snow: Does your dog love it or hate it?

Gryff is not a happy camper in the snow. I took him out to play with Maggie the Sheltie from down the street. Poor Gryff was shaking after 2 minutes - even with his snowsuit and Muttlukks on. I couldn't have them inside because I had to quickly bring Gryff into the bathroom to get all the iceballs off him. It's going to be a long winter.

2 days of snow, my nose is sniffling and I have to drag the boys back in at this point. Oh and Monte has finally learned how to tell mom he wants to go out.

Cash says Wahoo. Jasper a bit more reserved but still likes it...but not if it is too deep.

Well, I have discovered that Sophie and Gabriel love the snow..BUT, the aftermath
is ALOT of work, even with snowcoats!

Today the snow has frozen and Sophie is light enough to walk around on top. Problem is
she is so interested in the skating rink that she won't go!
Gabriel on the other hand pee's close to the house where there is a small strip that is snow free but somewhat muddy!

We live on a long private easement that goes out to the main road, and right now we are pretty much stuck here, as this much snow is not the norm..we don't even own a snow shovel and didn't even have a pair of snow boots until late yesterday..

I can't believe that there are people who live in this ALL winter!!!

Xander doesn't really seem to care much... I'd have to say he's indifferent to snow.

!!!
Diane, I hear you. I absolutely LOVE watching Lizzie have time of her life running in the snow but I HATE the work after in cleaning her.

I am not sure how, but Benji's coat repels debris, dirt and snow. We took him and Lizzie out in the snow yesterday and she was covered with snow/ice all over. I had to give her warm bath and blowdry. Benji shrugged off the snow and there was nothing sticking to him. He was mostly dry when I went to wipe him and blow dry.

Best, Poornima

We had the biggest snowstorm in 20 years last Tuesday (10" total - we're in L.A. County after all) and Pepper was NOT happy at first. By the second time outside he was bounding through it and chasing after April until he couldn't move anymore from the snowballs stuck to his chest and arms.

We still have snow on the ground and I am so done with this cold, wet, muddy yard. Where is my dry desert?
