Cooper spent Christmas morn @ the vet!!

After the morning festivities were over and we were starting to get ready to visit Nana's our son noticed a bump on Cooper's leg just above his feet pads. It looked like a big blood blister but was hard. It was a little bigger than a pencil eraser but when I touched it it didn't seem to be painful for Cooper. He was licking it alot like it was itchy. We decided to wait and bring him to the vets today but after a little while we couldn't stand it and brought him to the 24 hr animal hospital to have him checked. We spent a few hrs there and met with a great doctor. He decided to take a sample of it and check it under the microscope. After that he thought it was a Histi...something or other which meant it wasn't a tumor!! He was sending the sample out to be sure but he was very confident that it would just go away over a short amount of time. Phew...... We got to Nana's and he enjoyed his first Christmas like it never happened.

What a scare! I'm glad it didn't take your whole day and it looks like the outcome will be good. Keep us posted!

Whew, what a relief! I'm happy you all got to dodge that bullet. Hugs to Cooper.

Poor Cooper!! That stinks - but I am just like you - I would have done something the same day too. I am glad that it appears to not be a tumor.
Let us know what the results were - we will keep him in our thoughts.

I'm sorry you had to visit the emergency vet on Christmas. Poor Cooper. Better to be safe than sorry though. I'm glad that it's likely nothing serious.

Wow-sorry about your frayed nerves on Christmas. I'm sure it is nothing serious- just a little something to drive you both nuts! Glad to hear you all had a great Christmas despite it.
