Great Dog Watch Dog - Loud and Brave

Gibbs has a loud and deep "alert" bark. You'd think he's a rottweiler or pit bull if you were on the other side of a closed door.

He alerts us to every stink bug, fly, deer or stranger.

He nearly gave my wife a heart attack the other day. It was early morning so his collars were off. The front door was open so he could look out the secure storm door. Dana's in the other room when he starts to go nuts with his alert bark. She sees the package at the door, but the delivery guy is gone and Gibbs won't stop barking. What my wife doesn't see and what is really making Gibbs bark like a mad dog is a large buck across the street. She opens the door to get the package and ...

boom, Gibbs takes off after the deer barking like a mad dog. I have no idea what he would have done had he caught it - probably bite at his hooves and get kicked to death.

Brave little guy

Wow! He saved you from the deer! They do have a scary bark for their size.

OMG - Gibbs is a Brave Little Guy - could have gotta ugly, glad it didn't.

My guys are real good at staying at the door but let there be a cat, squirrel or rabbit and they are off!!

Last week, Hunter, Roxxy and Vino corner a cat. Poor cat tried to jump over the fence and couldn't, finally on the 3rd attempt he got over the fence. This happen in a matter of seconds. I tried to run to get Vino but they were at the far end of the yard. The cat was clawing and fighting with them but luckily, the big dogs were blocking Vino and he didn't get near the cat.

Betty AKA Canela, Jack and Vino's Mom

In a perfect world, every dog would have a home and every home would have a dog..
