Musher's Secret Paw Protection

WOW!

This stuff works great. Gibb's paws were getting rough, so we applied this stuff. It only took one application and his paws are smooth.

It's awesome! I apply it to protect from snow and salt. It keeps the snow from collecting in between toes.

I have to go to the pet store today and I'm going to see if they carry this, if not I'm going to order online per Linda's advice. I don't think we're walking anywhere far today.

They say it is natural waxes. I call it chapstick for paws. I don't really know how well it does as protection against salt or ice melt. I don't put any of that stuff down where my beasties walk but it does help a little with snowballs.

Pam

Is it greasy? Do their paws need to be cleaned once they come back in the house?

Linda and the others who use it can answer that. I was told, however, that it can stain furniture.

It is specifically designed to protect against salt and chemicals. We use a Pet Safe Ice Melt.

It is “greasy” or waxy, but is meant to be rubbed into the paws until it absorbs. It’s like body or hand lotion in that regard, only thicker. It will absorb as long as you take the time to work it into their pads. We were instructed to apply it and immediately take our dog outside. The purpose of taking him outside was so any excess or residual is wiped off outside and so the dog doesn’t feel the need to lick his paws.

It's more waxy. I don't know if it stains because I literally apply it right before our walk outside. I really mush their feet in it getting it between crevices in pad. I use it generously. By the time we walk an hour I'm not concerned about it because its pretty much worked in.
