GNYHC hosts its first HCA Regional Specialty
February 7, 2009
Dedicated to the memory of our dear friend and founding member, Rosalie Leone
Join the Greater New York Havanese Club in for the Westminster Weekend as we celebrate the Copa! ...Regional Specialty, Dinner plans and RSVP information as well as Westminster Weekend events in NYC follow:
The Greater New York Havanese Club was pleased to receive an invitation to join NYMS - a group of local Breed Specialty Clubs who work together to rent the Penn Plaza Pavilion at the Hotel Pennsylvania on the Weekend prior to Westminster. There was no question that we wanted to opt in. Participation would mean that Havanese lovers have an additional opportunity to show their dogs, meet with one another and would have a sweepstakes opportunity, too. But GNYHC was only 75% thru its application process to become a licensed AKC Club. (Now we are 90% - YEAH!). But HCA came to the rescue!!! They allowed GNYHC to host a Regional Specialty to start the ball rolling...
At the end we'll ask you to let us know you're coming so we can have your Special gift bag on the ready....
Now Havanese Exhibitors and Fanciers can participate in:
Progressive Toy Specialty

and then you can celebrate with the members of the GNYHC at CUBA!
The members of GNYHC are organizing a self-hosted* dinner Cuba
on Saturday night after the specialty. This is a small and fun moderately priced restaurant, with a real Cuban flair. You can join us at one of our hosted tables at 6:30, 7:30 or 8:30. Just let us know at [email protected]
what time you'd like to join us. (You can also make your own reservation even if it is just a table of two! Just let us know the name on your reservation under so we can co-ordinate tables.) I can personally attest to the special effect of the Mango Mojito!!!
