Putting your Puppy on a Pedestal

Gibbs loves to look outside and see what's going on. It wasn't a problem in the summer, as we'd just leave the front door open and allow him to look out. Now that it's winter, leaving he front door open is not an option, and he was driving us crazy by always ringing the bell until we open the door.

Daddy to the rescue!!!!

by finally making use of his tools and spare lumber

I feel the need to be completely honest. Dana purchased the steps, but base at the top was too small for him to sit, so I had to build the pedestal around, and attach it to the steps.

Building the steps would have been doable, but more complicated.

Nicely done! Piper also loves to watch what's going on outside. We lucked out in that the end of the couch that is backless sits at perfect height at a front window, and Piper has claimed this as her spot since day one. You'll have to excuse the junky lighting as I snapped this quick with my phone, but I just couldn't pass the opportunity to catch her 'do after a good creep on the neighbours

Thank you both. I must pass along most of the credit to my wife Dana, because behind any "great" man is an even better woman who inspired him.

The pedestal was Dana's idea.

Great job John. We live on a very quiet street so the most excitement my pair get are birds and a passing squirrel. We visited my FIL earlier today, he lives on a busier street then we do. I showed them both the view out his picture window and they turned into back of the couch perchers, dumb me. It was like they were watching tv, too funny. At home we have a sliding glass door but that's about it for scenery. Timmy was never a big window watcher but Mae seems to LOVE it, next summer at the beach will either be paradise or a nightmare.
