Thanks for updating for me Pat, and thank you for calling to check in with me. Super sweet! I enjoying visiting with you and for those of you who aren't really that familiar with Pat (I'm sure you ALL are, she's just an amazing lady with alot of spunk.. I just adore you girlie). I just couldn't resist coming back to my Hav family. It was really hard to come around, after we let Kona go, but coming back to such sweet smiling Hav faces has warmed my heart. I wasn't able to get online much for a while, but should be able to more regularly now. Things are going great, as Pat said. I have having surgery in 3 weeks to remove my last (left) ovary and cervix. I am not sure that I actually told you all about the cancer, but it's cervical cancer. The doctors are very optomistic that I won't have to do any other treatments after surgery, and I am hanging on to that hope with all I have. Hubby's job is going great, they are so nice. They are letting him take off the week of surgery to come up for surgery and help me recover. Shouldn't be a big recovery, 2 days in the hospital and then watching for infection. Yay!
This has been a weird journey to say the least, and thank you all for your prayers. I fully know that they have helped b/c we went from hearing MANDATORY CHEMO/RADIATION to possibly NONE following surgery. I will have routine pricks and pokes to check my levels, but as of now... NO FOLLOW UP CHEMO! PRAISE GOD!!!!
Kona is doing fantastic. My bro-in-law and his family bought a house right across the road from us, so we get to see Kona ALOT!!! The kids get to go over and play with him alot and he just got the CUTEST hair cut ever... darling. I want to thank you all again from the bottom of my heart for being little prayer wariors on our behalf and I want you to know that we are experiencing change from the doctors that we NEVER expected to happen!
Love you all and thank you again.
Oh.. P.S. The home we moved into our landlords DON'T want dogs/cats. They were going to allow us to keep Kona (due to the circumstances) but the other renters gave them a hard time b/c they weren't allowed to have a dog. (STUPID) so... anywho... we told the landlords we'd buy the house and so after surgery and my health gets cleared we are going to sign papers to buy it. At that point in time we will be bringing Kona home for good!!! (Told you our life takes these weird crazy turns that we don't expect).
Many hugs to you all!
