Watching TV

Ginger enjoys the animal shows, well she watches and barks a lot. We're watching this program about coyotes and she's barking up a storm. As the coyotes moved to the edge of the screen, Ginger went running past the wall and around the corner bark, looking for them.

Leo likes to watch TV especially if there are dogs on the screen! Some of our dogs over the years have been TV watchers and some haven't. Not really sure why.

I accidentally subscribed to DogTv, $10/month(!) on Roku. My dog does like it, and will at times watch very intently. The only thing I don't like about it, other than the price, is the desensitization components that include a loud doorbell ring. He always runs to the door and barks, even though I keep explaining that it's only on the tv. In spite of that, if they are ever able to make it so that he can smell the grass, the ocean, the dog butts they are showing, then I will pay for it. We are holding out for smellovision!

Gibbs has shown no interest in the TV. He will bark when he hears a doorbell or dog barking. I think we are making some progress with "It's just the TV. He heard the doorbell the other day, barked and started to run to the door. Before he got there, I said "it's just the TV" and he laid back down. It was later at night and he was starting to doze, so who knows if it meant anything.

Yeah, my Fred does the same thing. Even if the volume is down he barks at any animal that appears on the screen.

Bella likes watching liters of puppies on you tube

If Emmie sees or hears a dog on TV, she will go sit right in front of the TV, and look up and bark at the screen. I need to get a picture or video of this one of these days; it cracks me up. -Jeanne-

I don't have the tv on very often but when I do if Sophie hears a childs voice she will always stop and look. She also has favorit songs on the radio that she will stop and try to figure out where the person is that is singing. It is very cute!
