Winter Coats

Hey Everyone!
I bought Millie a $15 winter coat because I knew she would grow out of it . She shivers after being outside for about ten minutes without a coat. She is now five months old and has grown out of it. What is a good coat that I can buy for her? I live in Ontario Canada so our winters are long and cold. I want a coat that will keep her warm and dry. It would be nice if it looked cute too but that's not the most important. Will she grow a lot more? If she is going to grow a lot I'm just going to buy another cheap one and wait until next winter to get a good quality one.
Thanks!
Sarah

Go cheap! She's gonna grow. I will post a good option when I get home. I will also post good quality coats for when she is done growing. I've tried them all

You can also search old threads I've started until I get to my home computer.

This lady has custom inexpensive coats. I have a couple quilted house coats from her:

I also find a lot of great deal on:
http://www.etsy.com

When she is done growing at maybe 1.5 years old, you can invest in a great coat. Because you have such harsh winters, you might consider the Hurtta winter coat. They have many products. I also have the fleece coat and ultimate warmer, but I find their winter coat to be the warmest. Their coats are waterproof and windproof. They also cover the underbelly. Ruffwear makes a nice winter coat, but I still prefer the Hurtta over all the winter coats I've tried.

You might find Ebay to be cheaper.

Thanks so much! I will get a cheap one for now then. Next September she will be a year and I will look into a better quality one. I will take a look at the hurtta and ruffwear for future.

Ok I'm a royal fifi fan. She made izzys the easy wear style so it will last longer. Geez in Ontario she must wear it daily? I live on the lake in cleveland ohio and have 2 royal fifi coats. Izxy is 5 months. Wears them a couple times a day. Worth every penny. It is so cold so I would not go cheap I did that wasted more time and money on things that didn't fit correctly. I plan on buying Izzy a lightweight fleece maybe 2 and a raincoat for spring. Plus it saves on the number of baths. Chantal is great at royal fifi. Customer service and workmanship is superb. I did buy another handmade coat to fit izzys but it didn't cover much of her belly and she was still cold. So do not go cheap. Ask yourself this. Living in Canada do you buy yourself or your children cheap coats?

Are the royalfifi coats really warm though? They look cute but not very warm. The cheap coat I originally had was from Winners. It was only $15 but it was made quite well and seemed to keep her warm.

I think the Hurtta winter coat is one of the warmest coats you can buy. It is fleece lined but also windproof. Royal fifi coats are quality warm coats, but not windproof.

Sometimes I double up on frigid days. Since Bella is always super cold I layer a sweater under her coats.
