Cerenia

Has anyone ever given their hav--Cerenia?
Does it make them sleep?
How are they afterwards? (does it take awhile to wear off?)

Sally, yes I have! I give it to Kubrick when we take a Taxi in the city because he always throws up. He's completely fine after taking it, but he does drool a LOT. And I do mean LOTS. I'm thinking of using a baby bib on him next time. At least no throwing up, though!

Baby bibs are a great idea. I used them with Oliver as a puppy

Carolina, does Kubrick drool in reaction to taking the Cerenia? Or in reaction to the taxi ride? Is Cerenia a "people" drug or for dogs only? Does it make him sleepy?

Kubrick normally drools a little bit, but not to the extent that he does on the Cerenia - seriously, he's SOAKING wet by the end of the ride. It's a side effect of the drug (listed on the box). It's specifically for dogs, not people. It does not make him sleepy at all. Other than the drooling, I didn't see any side effects from it.

I've never heard of Cerenia. Does it help with car sickness? Isabel was perfectly fine on the 2 hour drive home from the breeder. I was expecting the worse because Cuba threw up and had diarrhea the entire 2 hour ride. In fact, Cuba still has pretty bad car sickness now. He doesn't drool as much, but he will still throw up.
