Havanese Greetings - How does your dog greet you?

I know when each of us comes home from work (or just being outside for 5 seconds) that our dogs just go crazy for us when we come home. Here's a little video of Buttons when I came home one day. I had a camera with me and was ready to film as soon as I walked in the door. It's really fun coming home to this kind of greeting! I can't wait to hear your stories and/or see pictures and videos of other Havanese greetings too!

One photo was from an evening when Mark and I took Buttons to Starbucks with us and stayed in an outside cafe. She greeted every person who went in and out of the door, by standing on her hind legs (she looked like a monkey). EVERYONE loved her and we met a ton of folks that night and had a great time. The other photo is her on my deck after eating snow, and the other is when we took her to the Apple store - apparently they let dogs in the store! (Not greeting photos - just wanted to share them!)

That is how Lola would greet me --- if I let her. She has super freaky separation anxiety and as we work through it I have been coached to ignore her when I return home until she calms down. Regardless of my ignoring her, she still jumps around dancing and then does a mini RLH, landing on some furniture as she flies around the room.

Your Buttons is a doll! Love those "eyebrows".

He jumps up and down whining and runs around like a maniac. That's only for me though. He isn't all that excited when Chuck and Alec come home. However, when I hear the garage door open and I tell Gryff "Here comes Daddy" or "Alec's Home", he will hurl himself down the stairs and run to the door. Chuck was just telling me today that when I'm not home, Gryff usually parks himself on the couch in his office. When the garage door opens and he says "Here comes Mommy" Gryff freaks out and runs to greet me. He and Alec have a game where they see how quickly Gryff flies off the couch when the garage door opens.

Wow, they are twins!

I don't care for dogs jumping up on me (or others, because of that preference,) so Tucker greets me with bright eyes, hops off the couch, and waits for me to hang up my coat and put down my purse. Then he rolls over for a tummy rub! So, I see a sweet, furry tummy when I get home!

Buttons does the same thing after her initial greeting. She'll sit and I go over to her and then the tummy rubs begin...my favorite!

Very cute topic and great video!

Okay, I can't post because AKC would take away all 3 of their CGC certificates!!! <BG> All 3 go insane but I put up with it, don't work on it, cater to it, and get just as excited as they do
